The
Incident of Minar-e-Pakistan is guts wrenching where many people assaulted a
woman in broad daylight in the bustling city on the occasion when the nation celebrating
its independence. Prior to dive deep down to the reasons that led to this
heinous act. It is a big question mark on the ability of law and order
agencies? As to how it was possible in that public gathering at country’s
historical monument & more importantly on the historical day of
independence, a woman was being molested & there was no presence of police
& other agencies. It was ironic to see there was no plan in case any
untoward incident happened to respond in the biggest city of the country. In
the time when the country has confronting external funded terrorism every now
and then. It is a testament to how lousy our agencies work even when an
incident is being done in the influx of people under the sun but there was no
presence of any of them. So what to speak about their pre-emptive moves to
counter any unlawful activities in the county. Ruling Government should be held
responsible for that & they must be answerable to the nation why the Police
didn’t respond in time
When that ordeal in making the police at sleep and the victim was surrounded by a mob of hundreds of people who grouping, touching, snatching, throwing her in the air, tearing her clothes. In response of the Government only suspended DIG & SHO operations that is utterly not good enough because Nation knows it is a just customary act to hide their criminal negligence. Now the assaulters could be sexually frustrated people and according to sexologists, Sexual frustration could be vented out in forms of anger or agitation OR for some as depression or anxiety for others as recklessness (This phenomenon is global not any country-specific). In that crowd some people could be pickpockets who joined to mob with the sole intention of stealing stuff and some saviors couldn’t be rolled out who tried to save the victim. Anyways who was what and joined the crowd with what intentions it is frivolous at moment. It is against the teaching of religion and must be condemned and be given severe and exemplary punishment publically to these attackers for doing that barbaric act.
However, people must know when any victim drags into a herd of people by assaulters things get out of control from everyone because now they have to deal with this collective mob mentality which is hard to predict and difficult to control because it requires more power than themselves to control them. A classic example is the case of Mashal Khan who was murdered by an angry mob on the premises of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. Where most people didn’t know the actual cause of the beating but they joined the mob and took their parts. Anyways these attackers must be arrested & law must take its course in giving them an exemplary punishment to curb such disturbing acts. The victim who is a TikTok & shows up on videos sharing platforms every now and then along with her companion. The fact of the matter is the content of good numbers of Pakistani tictokers are below average and they don’t have anything artistic & creative to present to their followers & She is not exceptional however female Pakistani tiktokers are more famous than their male counterparts
Because they appeal more to the audience despite having nothing significant in their works. Since these tiktokers (Males & Females) are terribly barren in the arena of creativities so they need controversies to remain relevant in these videos sharing platform in order to attract more viewership that ultimately translates into more monetization. One good example is A female tiktoker who scripts a controversy with politicians along with the so-called religious scholar occasionally to get attraction however most people are still not on TikTok so in order to capture the masses, she requires assistance from media houses (Mainstream Media) to get the headline so that she reaches out to her maximum target market and these media house also get a story to get going Another incident that steered a lot of controversies when a male tiktoker trapped a Turkish artist in his forgery & invited him at his place in order to gain fame & fortune who was arrested lately and is currently behind the bar. In short, these people are not talented at all & don’t believe in their crafts.
As
the interrogation of this incident is underway and the victim & her
associate are under police supervision & some attackers have also been
arrested. As the facts related to this incident unfolded unofficially it has
been revealed that this tiktoker who is the victim updated her social media
account prior to the independence celebration she had a plan to make an event
of “Meet and Greet” on 14th August & asking her followers to show up at the
venue & let’s hang out. Now, this invitation is in itself quite ridiculous
as almost all tiktokers do this event either at any posh shopping mall of the
city Or at their own place whereas Minar-e-Pakistan is a historical and public
place & on a normal day it is crowded with people & since it is a
historic day and celebration of freedom was going on so it was overcrowded. So
selecting such a venue for a the single woman along with few friends is weird.
On the day when she arrived at the venue, onlookers disclosed she was not
wearing an appropriate attrite rather an enticing & passing on flying
kisses indiscriminately to her fans and crowd gathered there that was quite an
uncanny & irresponsible behavior in the gathering of the opposite gender.
According to witnesses, her outrageous behavior didn’t stop here and things got out of control when she allowed every people to take selfies with her. it is not at all victim-blaming but If it was really the case it is against the social norm of the country and who so ever does it always prepare for the consequences and be responsible for it. On the same venue, the celebration of Independence is commemorated every year with zeal since Pakistan got freedom from British rule but such an incident has never been reported in the history of the country. Even in 2021 vast majority of the country’s population is not on digital social platforms so in order to reach them out these tiktokers still need the assistance of media houses(Mainstream Media) that run the satellite channels in the country. In short, Any news could not reach out to the vast majority solely through digital platforms it requires these TV channels to stir it up.
It is not a myth rather a bitter reality some media houses, anchorpersons, journalists & reporters have developed this mindset where they think they have the ability to make any zero to hero and any hero to zero overnight by the power of media. As there are many cases reported where media houses blackmailed other influential people in the country just to obeyed their agenda else be ready for consequences. Even in this incident, one reporter of a renowned media house made such a sweeping statement “Thank God who hasn’t blessed me with a daughter. This country is a place where you could not go to market & other public places with daughters & We talk about the right of Kashmiri girls on which basis we talked about the rights of Kashmiri women when our own mothers, sisters & daughters are not saved here” This is quite an outrageous statement where certainly emotions got out of proportions if it is a statement of an ordinary person so it could be avoided but remember it is a statement of a media person. God forbid in case it is a planted event that was already scripted and planned which was successfully collaborated and executed on that day just to create controversy & headline. It would be quite a pathetic act as most of the people also believe it and giving this angle in this case. No matter how good equation current government & media house enjoys this aspect should also be professionally & thoroughly investigated & fact should be unearthed & produced to nation else be prepared of reoccurring of such issues in future too.
Over the course of time, it has been observed that some celebrities transformed themselves into keyboard worriers and it seems there is a race among them and no one wants to lag behind others in giving their opinions in almost any social issues, particularly they consider themselves champions of women rights in the country. There is nothing wrong if anyone has his/her opinion about anything. it is his/her democratic right. But the problem is that from where they have got this right to play judge, jury & executioner role in most of the cases right after occurring them. Why do they jump the gun through their social media account all the time? It goes without saying this country is facing a hybrid war where her enamines pouring in billions of dollars just to malign its name in the world & Don’t miss any opportunity to defame its name whether we accept it or not this propaganda warfare really has further deteriorated our image in the world and such incidents also paved their ways to substantiate their claims. Therefore, as a nation, we all have a responsibility to guard our national interest rather than acting as a poster boy of such incidents where actual facts haven’t been surfaced yet.
How Indian media
reported and spread this incident in the world is not hidden from anyone. We as
a nation really expect all obligations of law will be fulfilled
& all criminals should be brought to justice. Because it is indeed a matter
of national shame. If it is publicity stunt or conspiracy it is not against the
current government infect it is against the state of Pakistan.
