Technology will unshackle women’s true potential It is not in the shallow physical imitation of men that women will assert first their equality & later their superiority. In the awakening of the intellect of women. Technology would empower women, liberating human spices to develop its full intellectual potential repressed by the patriarchy for centuries.
So to speak as we just witnessed how to let alone information technology & satellite TV channels changed the face of the world & made the tectonic shifts in all the living species & almost every walks of life has revolutionized in such a shortest period which is in its preamble phase & catalyst of drastic change in the people’s living patterns world over is evident by all & sundry. Because of the internet particularly these micro & macro blogging sites, social networking, tubes, search engines & whatnot with which we are currently obsessed & they have occupied our mind’s space. This is why my list of most influential people of the world are OR will be the owners of these sites any time soon because we are still terribly miscalculating their ambit of influences at present. As they have not only reached to our bedroom rather successfully managed to foothold in our minds too & became part & parcel of our lives in the shape of cellphones.
Do we have any idea on the name
of customer’s relationship management/customers-centric approach what is being
done with us? Are these people only aware what are the likes or dislikes of
people living in certain countries/cities OR they can also get to know what
preferences at individuals’ level are even better than themselves? Can they
only see what the current trends of any country/city are OR they can also
accurately predict what would be the future trends of them? Are we sure on the
internet? We see what we like OR we like what we see??? Anyways (Not
referring to any intrigue by anyone against our society which is already on it
is death roll itself.)
As the result of any change,
the most motivated demographic is always the youth of any place. Therefore in
the backdrop of the IT revolution youth of the world is most influenced &
particularly the female gender in the context of the third world who used to
have very limited access to the outer world’s information. Undoubtedly
technology has made them more independent in so many ways & they are doing
wonders with their supreme talent & not only making equal marks almost
every field but in some, they are way ahead & breaking new grounds in their
respective fields contrary to their male counterparts & proving Tesla’s prophecy true. Since
everything has its pros and cons similarly technology is not exceptional either
in particular within the dynamics of our society.
Ours is not only a male-dominated society yet it is backward, myopic, hyper jingoistic, extreme religiosity primarily with extrinsic orientation. Landlords, feudal lords, warlords, Godmen/spiritual leaders & dynastic politics based type/nominal democracy with a minimum tolerance of the middle class in the mainstream. The democratic process is run through dynastic politics, therefore, every new political leader is incompetent than the previous one which paves way for the army to take it over now and then. Overly populated cities which are fragmented based on religions, sects, casts, creed, ethnicity, nationalism, etc with lack of infrastructures & poorly administrated by corrupts elected caretakers. Like every society, it can be divided into two main segments liberal & orthodox on the macro level consisting of intellectuals, religious scholars, academicians, poets, journalists, anchorpersons, etc represent either of the segment. As per popular belief, this state came into being in the name of religion which is why the orthodox segment is more powerful & chiefly followed since then because they support the state & enforce the prevailing traditions of culture. Therefore every government which comes into power requires their supports as they are very influential in the masses.
Since no elected government in our country has
never been strong primarily because of its corruption & a weak government
mostly leads to constant chaos, restlessness, anarchy & lawlessness
situation in the wake of that government institutes loss their significance
& bureaucracy takes advantage of this incompetence & enhances its
influences & powers. However, after the arrival of multinational companies
competent manpower is being hired by them consequently incompetent are
dominated part of the current bureaucracy, OR in case any competent patriotic
wants to render services to country is mostly victimized by their prevailing
nepotism. Thus these institutes do not have the potential to look after state
affairs properly either. Therefore a weak government always seeks the support
of people like religious scholars, spiritual leaders, intellectuals,
journalists, anchorpersons & other popular personalities with the orthodox
mindsets who have their say in masses who have under the false assumption
following traditional values.
On the other hand liberals (who
are few in numbers in our society) have to confront both the state &
society because they challenge both of them at the same time & produce
alternative ideologies consequently severely criticized by both of them.
However, it is open truth a person can endure tortures & hardships of state
but when the majority of the society goes against & ostracize him/her. He
becomes powerless & compel to succumb to social boycott because when a
liberal criticizes traditional mindsets of society it is an extremely painful
contest for him in the aftermath of this his social life becomes limited &
his career opportunities are closed so that out of poverty he drops the idea
& becomes submissive to traditions of society. But annals of history
manifests that for a creative mind all of such hardships & prejudices have
no value & In the betterment & advancement of society he continues to
challenge & produce alternative ideologies. Because he knows if his
suggestions aren’t appreciated in his life they will be adopted in future
because this is the way society evolves & it is the historical truth that
the advancement of any nation is judged by the people who sacrifices their
lives for the betterment of their coming generations.
Now when your body & mind
have been enchained since you born & suddenly you are ordered to not only
get yourself up, but walk, run & fly in open space. It is ridiculous to
criticize in case someone could not live up to as per expectations & go
astray. No one has any right to criticize that person when they do not give any
inputs in the development of that fallen person. In fact when the premise of
any society is on the incorrect ideologies no matter how advanced technology
they are given it will only make things bad to worse & cause more damages
instead of bearing any fruitful change. Because this society will use these
means to protect their prevailing beliefs & resist change. Therefore we
witness how badly these technologies are being misused in our society which
making us more self-center, impassive, materialist, self-righteous &
dogmatic in our ways with overrated pride worse than the rest of the world. In
a society where corruption of all sorts recorded in the history of the world is
being practiced shamelessly in all most every fragment of the society indiscriminately.
How can we expect youth which is the most sensitive fraction of any society
remain aloof from the ongoing situation?
Thus female which is always a
very fragile fraction of every society in the world is extremely suppressed
segment in our society which is still badly struggling for their fundamental
rights. We despite being educated & self-proclaimed civilized unfortunately
prevailing stereotypes in our society could not let’s envisage females other
than physique who should be encapsulated in the concrete premises with certain
indoor responsibilities & that is all. No matter if she is educated or
illiterate the best place for them is home. Until of course any immediate OR
dire needs cause to reconsider societal prevalent values & force us to
break these stereotypes with equal shamelessly we go through at the time of
implementing them. On the other hand, this society is hijacked by moral police
of pseudo-intellectuals, religious scholars, spiritual leaders, journalists,
anchorpersons. Who appear every now & then on TV & amuse people with
their opinions however most of the people very well cognizant with their true
selves since it is the age of information, therefore, facts can’t remain in vague
very long. But to our bad lucks these people stayed bigot in their opinions
& somehow managed to be earned supports by those who belong to the same
sect which these scholars, spiritual leaders associated with. Because of this
sect's prejudice or lack of awareness, most of us still consider the words
coming out from these people's mouths are the gospel truth that cannot be
challenged or questioned. Problem is that whatever we have taught
subconsciously since our childhood we accept it without interrogation &
besides conformity what else we learn from our schooling systems also
complements this mode of learning.
It is extremely painful to see
religion has now taken the back seat in our society & sect is in the
driving seat. Therefore opinion-making about any person is done based on
his/her belonging of sect. Therefore in case of any mistake is committed by any
person criminal silence is prevailed by the followers of that sect & the
offenders remain sacred on the other hand severely bashing is done on the same
mistake by different sects it is the degree of hypocrisy of our society where
sect & personality come first & religion subsequently yet we still
proudly claim our country is the gateway of Islam. The most worrying part of
such a scenario it is not done by illiterate people it is also be provoked,
supported & participated by educated people.
It is agonizing to observe how
ruthlessly in the name of religion, sect & nationality people of our
country are being fooled by politicians, religious scholars, spiritual
leaders, intellectuals & anchorpersons, etc. This is exactly what happens
when personalities are more sacred & above than anything & everything
in society. By the followers of a religion which history is filled with that
to always discourage personality cults. However in our county where
personalities have always been worshiped since they came into being up till
now. On the other hand, advanced/developed countries of today which do not have
such tremendous historical background learned from it like American got
fundamental ideologies of their society from George Washington, Benjamin
Franklin, Abraham Lincoln & moved on & in the constant process
of evolution. Whereas we have not been able to decide yet either Mr.
Jinnah was a liberal or orthodox?
Anyways in the recent few years
tug of war between liberals & orthodox in our society has surged abruptly
& frequently as per the allegations of orthodox intellectuals, religious
scholars, spiritual leaders & politicians our society is deviating from the
basic teaching of religion & becoming more independent, misguided,
seculars, nudity & vulgarity are being spread by well thought out plan of
our media which is funded by west. Being a part of society it is everyone
inalienable right to accept or turn down their opinions OR at least ask
questions in this regard. Although we as a nation do not OR never admit it
whereas our actions speak volumes about our hypocrisy. Always wonder when we
come out from our trance OR this state of self-denial. Even a young adult of
today is very well versed in the dynamics of our society about genders.
Therefore with due respect need answers of following questions
Cannot we see in this society
where the topic of Sex is taboo yet we are leading the nation to access porn
materials on the internet? Cannot we see the quality of women here is measured
by their body, not by their intellects OR skills? Aren’t women here out of
societal pressure do not like to give birth to a daughter? Aren’t women despite
in the veil still sufficient enough to ignite negative feelings in the mind of
men? & the height of this mindset is that we only see motion whenever we
watch any girl playing cricket (Recent Q-mobile Add controversy) Can we deny
such a level of frustration? Such society can be called anything but not a
human’s society because we still think that the sexiest organ of our body is
below the belt not in the skull. Haven’t we learn yet that nudity is not a
female issue it is purely related to men’s perception as to how they process it
in their mind? Aren’t the most lies are told between closed relations such as
husband & wife in our society? Don’t we know Eve teasing is the national
game of our society & our desperation remove by catcalling? Do not we know
our mainstream movies, theaters, music & videos are the catharsis of our
sexual frustration? Can't the asleep honor of man is always awaken on the
matter related to woman & go on honor killing without his slightest
contribution to her betterment?
The problem is that we
deliberately refuse to recognize sex-related issues of our society. We must
know it is a natural emotion that cannot be suppressed or controlled through
un-necessary restrictions imposed by society. Since human is the creature of resistance
the more you suppress them the more powerfully they bounce back & retaliate
human history is filled with it unless this natural emotion does not get the
natural & creative way of expressing else it gets the foul means of
corruption & vulgarity. I believe draconian regulations are imposed on
human natural emotions by those who do not have an uptake of the
human psyche with power they just want to tame the whole society OR
at least their homes to maintain their hegemonies. What they do not know
such an act of restriction ultimately opens the way of revolt however
insensible revolt is nothing but sheer devastation & sensible is the
creation of a new society.
To take bath we need water but
we also want a fragrant soap that produces thick lather. Hence part of the
human body activity of taking bath is the combination of two elements water
& soap in layman language. But can we take bath with soap only? The answer
is NO in the same way can we take bath with water only? The answer is YES.
Therefore Water is a must without it a bath cannot be taken whereas soap is
just wanted additional element in the absence of it bath can be taken.
Similarly, Sex in our life is just like soap & not water it is our want
& not our need. Because in my life thus far I haven’t come to know any
person died because of not having sex. But by no means I am trying to advocate
to take celibacy or discourage marriage anyways. Because I strongly believe in
the institute of marriage & my religion also teaches me the same.
Empirically speaking I have seen many people who remain unmarried in their
lives despite having a hedonistic lifestyle I found them so hollow, lonely,
suffer from the feeling of emptiness & lacking the purpose of living so
concluding it is just like fight with nature & I know the drill of nature
first it makes you exhausted than brutally defeats you. However, if anyone
getting married for the sake of merely satisfying carnal urges it is not worth
the deal because it is far more than that for me it is all about the companionship
of someone with acceptance, love, trust & respect. In the annals of mankind, it is a proven fact that Marriage is more psychological than physical in long
run. Children are the most beautiful aspect of this union which is why it is
truly said that if you want to go fast go alone but if you want to go far go
along with someone you like & you are lucky if you find someone congenial
to your nature than this world is sure a living heaven.
Anyways people in our part of
the world who romanticize women's rights of the western’s world might know that
the West also doesn’t have a very flourishing history related to women’s
rights. Not far away during the 16th and 17th centuries in Europe how women
were treated & executed in the name of witchcraft. When that witch-hunt
spree began it could not discriminate between criminals and innocent &
brutally victimized women. One can understand the level of barbarism as per the
historical archives of that time revealed one of the criteria of recognizing a
witch was on the transfusion of a woman’s blood to another person was unable to
work with that person’s blood declared to be a witch & deserves to be
punished either burn alive or hang to death. Because that was the time when
blood types were not discovered which is why antibodies (proteins) of that
person’s blood attack the new blood & make him sick.
Most religions do not give the rights that women deserve & consider them as second-class citizens. But to the best of my knowledge, Islam is the only religion that talks about women’s right at that time when women were treated worse than animals when they used to bury alive based on their gender only & prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) is the first person in the history of mankind who opposed & prevented that heinous act & gave the rights what the deserved & according to me it is the first documented act in delegating the women’s right. However the interpretation which is given at present about women right is not the one that our religion teaches us.
Anyhow in the west when the 2nd world war was over as a result of that organized botchery male population was
extremely reduced & half of the world was dilapidated & those counties
participating were legged behind because of war with the other countries of the
world at that time. Therefore to accelerate the rehabilitations & fast pace
the progress the authorities of that countries were planned to pull out the
women from their houses & bring them into the fields therefore in the name
of women’s liberty they successfully managed to fill up the dearth of manpower
of that time interestingly on half of the wages Or sometimes no wages (Probably
this is how the concept of cheap labors was initiated). Which women
euphorically accepted mainly because at least they could now participate &
give their contributions in the mainstream & in the affairs of their respective
societies apart from their chores.
It is absolute truth that
liberty is the first step toward empowerment. But are women in the western
world despite enjoying freedom for many years have been able to fully
empower in comparison to men? Instead of taking a giant leap why they are
drifting with snail’s pace? Are they still confused to make a distinction
between liberty & empowerment? These are the questions which somewhat
inappropriate in the context of these women because their conditions are far
better than the conditions of women residing in other parts of the world.
Having said that in the recent few years there has been uproar & agitation
for women’s empowerment in the world astonishingly in western countries
although these women know that they have come a long way in their pursuit yet
they still decided to struggle & take it further & spread it other
parts of the world thus inculcating following the most popular demand of
women’s rights around the world now. 1) End of violence against girls. 2)
Quality education for girls. 3) End of child marriage. 4) Equal pay for equal
work.
Whereas Irony of our society it
is not only men who exploit women. There are women too who exploit the same
gender & this exploitation begins from home when a mother based on
gender-biased discriminates between her son & daughter. However snatching
of right is the last resort when you can’t get your rights despite constant
efforts the ideal way is to convince others for getting rights through your
ideas, talent & works for doing this you have to prepare yourself first.
Women in our society do not know their rights which even their religion &
society allow them today. It is a known fact that unless you do not know what
are your rights how can you exercise them? Hence To flow with the mainstream
they have to come out from self-detention & the first thing they have to
earn is the right to make decisions. They have to break the labels/clichés associated
with them like women lack critical thinking, emotionally imbalance &
physically weak. Let’s presume some or all of them are correct but it is
against the law of nature because nature has its way of balancing deficiencies
so make efforts to delve into those covet qualities & executive them. If
you manage to get the privileges. You are ethically obliged to pass on the
awareness to others & show them the path which takes them to success
exactly the way women in the advanced countries are doing for the betterment of
women condition for other parts of the world.
As this phenomenon of internet
& satellite TV channels is new & we all know that we are the first
& the last generation who have experienced this sudden flux of information by
World Wide Web & satellite TV channels about some of the things for which
are not aware of & some which are not freely accessible in our society due
to religious prohibition & societal norm but after the arrival of these
mediums all of these restrictions removed overnight. Because we are not
mentally prepared for neither we are taught how to tackle when we are
questioned/challenged. Neither we are the nation that pays much heed toward
education & in case we acquire it merely for the sake of financial
viability or maintain & improve social status as a result condition of our
education institutions are quite deplorable.
This is why when this tsunami
of satellite TV & internet collided we could not resist & flooded with
the waves. Because the amount of information is so humongous even our matured
minds hardly wrap it across the knuckle, therefore, youth was on their own &
reacted to it as per their comprehension. We remained asleep until our culture
is challenged & invaded in its backyard. That was the golden opportunity for
us to reinforce our culture & showcase to the world instead of that we
exhibited our collective insecurity & with the fear of leaving behind or
abreast with the modern world we hurriedly included those components which
never the part of our culture before similarly on the internet among the new OR
at least easy accessibility of porn materials took the youth by storm &
lack of education & guidance made it more aggravated.
Now through these global
windows, we not only connect with the world but some people also got access to
not only us but also our subconscious minds therefore we are not only monitored
physically but constantly being feed with the information which shaped our
behaviors which we do not even know through mind-controlling techniques like
expert fallacy & priming etc. As human psyche is easily inclined
toward sin than virtue therefore instantly connected with Pornography
which is the world of fantasy & has nothing to do with the real world.
Where women deliberately behave as slaves & men are showed dominance. Where the meeting is initiated without the deep romance by the couple who are
professionally trained for it & heavily paid for.
Their core purpose is to take
the viewers into escapism & provide an experience that adds fuel into the
fire of their desires & spoils their mental health. Therefore when a great
many numbers of Asian viewers accessed there regularly to make the whole
experience more appealing. Porn star (Sunny Leone) with the
south Asian origin introduced by the industry which became an
instant hit & talk of the town. Whatever the reasons may be because of the financial crisis, complexes of any sort, adventurism, seeking of fame &
glory etc. We must nothing to do what triggered her to join that notoriety
industry rather we respect her personal decision. Indian official statistics
revealed that more than twenty-five hundred thousand people are currently
associated with pornography in India. Though India has not declared its porn
industry like other civilized countries. Whereas Pakistan is concerned we do
not know exactly what our actual population so keeping such a record is out of the question. But people do exist here who are involved in this profession &
with each passing day, this number is multiple due to increasing inflation.
Anyways why I got a stomach ache to fret about India’s society because people of
both countries are very well aware that we have mostly similar cultures minus
religion & both do have influences of each other less or more it is another
matter though. Because Indian satellite Tv channels are watched in almost every
household here in Pakistan & some Pakistani channels there too. So whatever
is telecasted on these channels does have its trickle-down effect in Pakistan.
I have no concerns or hatred of any sort for the people who are associated with
this profession such as (Sunny Leone) after all they are very much part of our
society & like others, it is too a demand & supply industry. Because
there is a demand which needs to be catered with the supplies & no matter
whether we live in false pretext OR hypocritically behave ultimately we have to
accept them. But despite having a remote control in my hand do have grave concern
over the way porn star is projected in the mainstream media particularly on TV
channels which are known for family entertainment. I believe even pioneer
country of porn industry does not give such projection & glorification on
TV to porn stars particularly during prime time & on the family
entertainment channels but to my dismay what message we want to give or impression
want to make with such act I failed to comprehend but I do know such act can
only make (Sunny Leone) on the internet the most searched person of India in the
year 2015. Which affects the social fabric of the society if a porn star is
glorified. One similar incident happened to come to my notice when there was a
scene in the famous drama of a Pakistan leading family channel in which a female
protagonist showing her burning desires to her male counterpart. That scene
gave the message to its female viewers that to win the heart OR to be loved by
a male you have to exude the libido. For heaven's sake who does that in real
life? Not even male in our culture. We must remember that the exhibition of
libido is purely associated with porn stars only. By doing so girls must grab
the attention but not with intent to love rather lust.
By seeing porn stars are being
appreciated & praised such act does attract by the same demographic & it
is fact that women receptivity is higher than men & they can easily be inclined. When human basic needs (physical needs) are fulfilled he makes
efforts to fulfilled his (psychological needs) according to Maslow’s hierarchy
of needs theory. Self-adulation is one of those needs that irrespective of
genders is what most human craving for & in this materialistic era when
attention has shifted from outer world to individual inner world of the most human
being is desperately seeking for it. (This blog post may be the result of
earning self-adulation. Similarly apart from earning money present-day intellectuals,
writers, religious scholars desperately seeking it too). Therefore to satisfy
the pangs of self-admiration hunger instigated character like Qundeel Bloach
to emerge & became an internet sensation in a jiffy by not the general male the population of the country who is already under the unsuitable self-imposed
human’s instinct & desperately seek such opportunity to drain it down
accepted her immediately even the educated married people who have the
responsibility to teach messes fell prey of it Mufti Abdul Qavi is an open
example for us. Undoubtedly internet is the breeding ground for everyone to
gain the instant 15 megabytes fame. However, she must be familiar or come to
know the fragility of this fame & volatility of such a trend where the
memory of fans is very poor & fickle.
But it is not merely men of our society who are hypocrite in this regard it is mostly the matter of all the men of the world or it is perhaps the most male psyche to seek maximum pleasures with minimum or no responsibilities although such mindset is very lethal mostly for the men more than women. Because the presence of a woman in a man’s life gives him a purpose of living which is the most pivotal ingredient particularly for man survivals leaving spiritual purpose aside when a man fulfills or deprives of his worldly goals, objectives, desires etc that feeling of unworthiness breaks him down & I also learned through my real-life experience that if a person wants to have a long life. He has to increase his goals, objectives & purpose in life because when he feels low or defeats in life. It is his goal that gets him going in life again. However, women are differently harnessed mentally than men. Unnecessary & inappropriate projection of people who are seducing their opposite gender through their bodies & nothing else it is very unfortunate to give them status of celebrities which our media is currently doing in the consequence of it we are instigating others to jump the bandwagon & take their shares. What we must accept carnal urges are real we can't suppress them inappropriately because of societal or religious pressures. We must learn & give it creative ways like (Painting, Literature etc) to come out through otherwise it will appear the cheapest way what we are experiences today. Timely marriage used to be the very pragmatic option but in this competitive world, our priorities have changed upside down.
In this regard, we need to
comprehend & profess it no matter what obstacle we create on it is the way.
This change is unstoppable or inevitable sooner or later it will engulf us.
Therefore we must devise a strategy to channelize it in such a way that it
complements our religion & social norm. Therefore the first move in this regard
is to spread awareness & educate the different demographic accordingly. We
must inculcate them this invasion of cultures is not ours western cultural
model is not our model although I avidly admire western individual liberty in our society, it must be within the eastern values. However, we need to
extract good things from a western culture that harmonizes with ours
simultaneously we have to take firm steps to make our culture strong. I am not
advocating the Drawn theory of evolution here OR going into debate humans
evolved from monkeys. But evolution is really real & we can't deny the
evolution of seed into a tree OR sperm into a baby. Exactly the way religious
scholars who used to say taking pictures is forbidden act once according to
religion is now regularly taking pictures & arrive on TV OR as exactly when
printing of holy books was restricted by the fatwas to print through printing
device of that time in the ottoman empire that sunk the nation in the
darkness of ignorant which in the later century rejected all to gather OR else
it is the universal truth that if anything does not evolve
with time it will eventually extinct. We have to act before it is too late
& I expect we will not allow other cultures to gulp down ours.
